Academic trips are an integral part of the training of students at UPSA. Throughout the course students can visit other cities in Bolivia to take part in congresses, seminars and exchange activities with other universities. These academic trips to other communities have had great impact on the community, such as the contribution that the University has made to City Halls by surveying the architectural patrimony in almost all the departments of the country and Santa Cruz provinces and therefore have been benefited with an urban planning, landscaping, architectural, heritage or research project of some kind.
Members of the faculty organize academic trips during the year. In cases such as the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism, these experiences have been carried out since 1987. A good example is EuroUPSA which consists of a scheduled trip to the Old Continent to visit architectural works, historical sites and other activities both, formative and recreational, on a tour that covers eight to eleven countries.
UPSA students also have the opportunity to participate in international workshops, congresses, forums, competitions, visits to institutions or companies, among other activities, in coordination with universities which there is an agreement.
